Prospective International Students
Welcome to Prairie View A&M University! We are thrilled that you are considering making PVAMU your future home away from home. In order to be able to log in, make requests, and upload documents, you will first need to have access to your PVAMU Accounts.
As an International Student, the first step to coming to PVAMU is to apply for University admittance. For International Undergraduate Admissions, please visit https://www.pvamu.edu/admissions/international/. For International Graduate Admissions, please visit https://www.pvamu.edu/graduatestudies/prospective-students/international-admissions/.
After receiving admission, the next step is to submit your International Student documentation for your Form I-20. The Certificate of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant (F-1) Student Status (Form I-20) is issued by mail to the student who has:
If you are a student currently in your home country, and are not currently in the United States, you will need to completed a Initial I-20 Request. To begin the process of receiving your Form I-20, you will need to complete an Initial I-20 Request with the Office of International Student Services (ISS). If you have not begun an Initial I-20 Request, please visit https://iss.pvamu.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Students.Apply&Program_ID=15789&RequiredProfile=1.
If you are a student who will be transferring their SEVIS Record to PVAMU, as you are currently studying in the United States at another school/university, for your Form I-20 issuance, you will need to complete a Transfer In I-20 Request. If you have not begun an Transfer In I-20 Request, please visit https://iss.pvamu.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Students.Apply&Program_ID=15786&RequiredProfile=1.
If you are a student who is currently in the U.S. in another visa category, and are planning to change to F-1 student status prior to beginning your program at PVAMU, you will need to complete a Change of Status Request. If you have not begun an Change of Status Request, please visit https://iss.pvamu.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Students.Apply&Program_ID=15784&RequiredProfile=1.
Please note, if you have already started a Initial I-20 Request, Transfer In I-20 Request or a Change of Status Request DO NOT start a new one. Please go to your User Home Page, found at https://iss.pvamu.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Students.Home&RequiredProfile=1, to continue working on your existing request.
For students who will be coming to PVAMU as a sponsored student, ISS supports sponsored students by providing services such as immigration counseling, continual one-on-one advising on academic and personal issues, and administrative support. For sponsors, ISS works as a liaison for the sponsored students, sponsors, and the University. PVAMU departments can assist with third-party billing, sends transcripts and other reports, and coordinates sponsor campus visits if needed.
